KIPP New Jersey  is looking for an Operations and Enrollment Associate to support our quickly growing network of public schools in Camden, New Jersey. 

Must haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree

Here’s what you’ll be doing:
As an Enrollment and Operations Associate, you will work closely with our current Student Recruitment and Enrollment Coordinator to lead all family outreach, recruitment, registration, and enrollment efforts for the KIPP Cooper Norcross Academy (KCNA) network of K-8 schools in Camden, New Jersey.  Specifically, you will be responsible for conducting community outreach to families, planning and executing events, managing and coaching a team of parent leaders, and managing our enrollment and registration processes to ensure that students throughout Camden have an opportunity to attend our schools.
Community Outreach and Student Recruitment

  • Co-create strategy for reaching and enrolling students and families throughout Camden as our network of schools continues to grow
  • Plan and conduct year-round community outreach (open houses, school tours, community events, etc.) to build awareness of our network in the community
  • Recruit, train, and mobilize a team of parent leaders to conduct community outreach and student recruitment activities
  • Coach and manage AmeriCorps members to lead teams of parent outreach volunteers

Registration Coordination

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between KCNA and Camden Enrollment, the universal enrollment center for Camden City School District
  • Set goals and milestones for the registration process; manage others to meet these goals
  • Translate student information data from Camden Enrollment’s system to KCNA’s system
  • Problem solve with operations team members as they reach out to families, collect registration documents, and answer waiting list questions
  • Mobilize teacher, School Leader, and operations team support to register each year’s class of new students at KCNA
  • Identify trends and proactively troubleshoot

Enrollment Coordination

  • Set enrollment targets for each school, in coordination with the Managing Director of School Operations, Directors of School Operations, and School Leaders
  • Provide weekly enrollment updates to all operations team members as well as School and Network Leadership
  • Develop processes for the ongoing enrollment of students throughout the school year
  • Work with school-based operations teams to ensure that all enrollment activities are complete by important funding deadlines
  • Manage office managers through the process of maintaining 100% school enrollment throughout the school year
  • Track weekly, daily, and annual enrollment data for identification of trends
  • Manage the waiting list and serve as the primary point of contact for family’s questions about the waiting list
  • Maintain PowerSchool and other enrollment data systems

Office Management and Events

  • Manage and organize facilities, vendors, and events contracts in addition to insurance documents
  • Serve as main contact for landlord
  • Ensure office is stocked with necessary supplies
  • Take notes during team meetings and send updates/tasks to team 
  • Provide Executive support to the Executive Director
    • Submit reimbursements 
    • Keep running To Do list and ensure tasks are completed
    • Manage calendar and schedule
    • Book travel
  • Plan regular team happy hours and lunches 
  • Provide support in planning annual holiday party and awards ceremony
