KIPP COLUMBUS OVERVIEW:

At KIPP Columbus, our mission is to create a system of schools where students will develop the knowledge, skills, and character necessary for success in college and life, giving them the freedom to shape their futures and positively affect their communities. By establishing a rigorous, safe, and personalized learning environment, KIPP Columbus will foster a culture of responsibility and service and empower all students to become active and engaged citizens.

Founded with 50 students in the 5th grade, KIPP Columbus is entering into its tenth year of serving students in central Ohio.  In the fall of 2018, KIPP Columbus will serve nearly 1,600 students in grades kindergarten through twelfth. With a mission to create and sustain the highest quality school system for underserved children in Columbus, KIPP has maintained excellence in its growth, and will improve upon that standard – proving what is possible for public education in Columbus and in our country as a whole.

In the fall of 2020, KIPP Columbus will found a second campus to continue to broaden our impact.  With more than 2,000 students on our waitlist, our capacity exceeds our demand for enrollment. Our second campus will address this demand with a new elementary school.  KIPP Columbus is seeking a transformational, mission-driven school leader to help us prove what’s possible in the Columbus community and beyond.
