KIPP Memphis Collegiate Schools:
KIPP is a national network of free, open-enrollment, college-preparatory public schools with a track record of preparing students in underserved communities for success in college and in life.  There are currently over 200 KIPP schools serving nearly 70,000 students in 20 states and the District of Columbia.  KIPP Memphis Collegiate Schools (KMCS) is a part of the national KIPP Network.  This year KMCS will serve approximately 3,000 students in grades K-12 at seven different schools. 

Mission:
The mission of KIPP Memphis is to create high performing schools in the Memphis community that will equip all students with the necessary academic and life skills needed to succeed through college and the competitive world beyond.

Position Overview:

The Talent Development Manager (TDM) will champion KIPP Memphis’ efforts to attract, train, and keep the best employees. They will focus on designing and implement programs for recruiting, performance management, leadership development, employee assessment, retention, and succession planning.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Recruit teachers and staff to ensure all school have a full complement of teachers prior to the beginning of each school year.
Manage annual employee performance review process, included goal setting, quarterly performance reviews, annual reviews, bonus calculations, and merit increases.
Facilitate performance and leadership training throughout the region to ensure regional staff and campus leadership continue to develop as employees and leaders. Seek out and provide resources for continue employee improvement.
Assist HR Business Partners with general HR functions including orientation, benefits, FMLA, status changes, etc.
Requirements:
Proven ability to lead and execute full lifecycle recruiting components to include sourcing; qualifying; networking; assessing; selling and wage/salary trends.
Prior experience in talent development and performance management.
Bachelor’s degree.
Excellent interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to make recommendation to effectively resolve problems or issues using sound judgment.
Physical requirements: Normal office environment, ability to sit, stand and operate office equipment.
Travel requirements: TDM will travel between the regional office and local schools on a monthly basis.
Other: Ability to work overtime when project demands.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior charter school/KIPP experience.
Prior teaching experience.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS 
Satisfactory criminal records check, pre-hire and annually thereafter, if applicable. Must be eligible to work in the United States and provide work authorization.
