Here’s what you’ll be doing as the Associate Director of Outreach:
Joining our Talent Recruitment team comes with a lot of growth opportunities, but with great power comes great responsibility. Here are a few (well, many) for this position:

Outreach Strategy, Planning, and Coordination (30%)
  • Design and drive an outreach strategy that systematically builds a teacher and talent pipeline by increasing brand awareness and maximizing exposure to KIPP New Jersey & KIPP Miami
  • Develop an actionable plan based on the strategy that includes how and when we will leverage the following venues:
                   - Social media presence (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
                   - Job posting sites
                   - Other advertising venues (radio, magazine, billboard ads)
                   - Career fairs or information sessions
                   - Email marketing
  • Develop, maintain, and publicize a year-long calendar of recruitment events and initiatives
  • Ensure talent recruiters and school teams execute a variety of outreach activities/events that extend the reach of the recruitment team’s efforts as evidenced by increased applications
  • Ensure a diverse talent pool that results in a diverse class of new hires Communication & Materials Creation (20%)
  • Collaborate with Director of Marketing & Communications to develop high-quality recruitment materials and communications
  • Create clear, compelling, polished content for social media, website, internal/external communication
  • Post new positions on all appropriate websites, monitor traffic, and close postings when hires are made
Systems & Data Management (20%)
  • Consistently track and analyze data linked to outreach strategies, refining and adjusting our approach in response to the data
  • Oversee systematic and personalize follow through after every outreach event
  • Plan and oversee communication efforts and systems - automated and manual - to current contacts and partners
  • Oversee complex projects to support recruitment efforts (e.g., referral and referral bonus program
  • Create and regularly monitor recruitment outreach budget
External Relationship Building (20%)
  • Build mutually beneficial relationships with mission-aligned organizations to attract talent to KIPP New Jersey/Miami
  • Identify new strategic partners to find untapped but promising talent pools
Management (10%)
  • Delegate Outreach tasks to Recruitment Associates and oversee execution as needed to ensure high-quality results
  • Manage external consultants to ensure delivery of high-quality services
Skills and Characteristics

  • Highly self-motivated, quick learner with a desire and ability to succeed in a fastpaced, resultsdriven environment
  • Mature with a strong work ethic, a good dose of humility, a sense of humor, and a determination to do whatever it takes
  • Proven track record of managing projects to completion both on-time and within budget.
  • Ability to track and execute many complex and often competing priorities while mitigating risks of missteps and ensuring a high-quality end result.
  • An aesthetic eye and understanding of what is/will be “sticky” with a variety of audiences
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and a track record of working collaboratively with others
  • Highly organized with an editor-like eye for details and exceptional time management
  • Demonstrated dedication to personal improvement with a willingness to give and receive feedback
  • Ability to make progress in situations with a high degree of ambiguity; flexible enough to work autonomously as well as take direction as needed
  • Solid technical skills with a high proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, OneNote, Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and Google Docs.
Educational Background and Work Experience
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Social media and/or project management experience
Preferred:
  • Experience working as an outreach, marketing, or social media manager
  • Experience with budget management
Weekend/evening work, local travel, and/or periodic long-distance travel for professional/team development may be required.
