JOB DESCRIPTION:

The KIPP Austin Student Care Liaison is  a  member of a tight-knit school operations team charged with ensuring school operations meet all state and federal requirements, run flawlessly, and support excellent teaching and learning. The Student Care Liaison will support all students’ health needs, from tracking immunizations to providing empathic student care. Additionally, this person will support a welcoming, neat & organized office environment and function as the secondary contact person for all of the school’s stakeholders.


REPORTS TO: Assistant Principal of Operations

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties for the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Tracks and collects vaccination records for students, ensuring all students' immunizations are up-to-date

  • Provides basic first aid and medical assistance to students in need

  • Keeps clear and up-to-date student health, medication, and allergy records

  • Serves as the secondary staff to collect and track the payment of uniform, meal, and activity fees

  • Supports Front Office Operations processes including but not limited to:

    • Answering and directing phone calls

    • Providing information and appropriate forms

    • Preparing and distributing mailings

    • Additional administrative tasks

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be highly fluent in Spanish

  • Office experience and/or medical experience, preferably in a school setting

  • Excellent computer skills

  • Excellent verbal and written skills - in English and Spanish
